Winner of a gold medal at the Sommelier Wine Awards 2012 for being a wine of character, value and excellence and commended at IWC 2011.
Hailing from Veneto in Italy this stunning little red has a festive feel to it with its full bodied character and notes of notes of cherries, red berries, vanilla and cinnamon. A bit like the friend you can invite to any gathering and know they’ll charm everyone present, this versatile red that can cope with rich meat dishes but can also accompany pasta dishes with meat sauces and cured meats.
This delicious drop is made from handpicked grapes; in March following the harvest, the wine is added to the grape skins left over from the production of Amarone. This traditional technique known as "ripasso" increases the alcohol and enriches the structure of the wine.
